i had my interbyo sa UST kanina. grabe! nerve-wracking!

haha. i've only been to two previous interviews sa mga school. one was at st. scho, when i was going to enter high school. i knew the people there naman, so it wasn't really that nakakataranta. the other was at british school manila for the scholarship thingy. i had my mom with me then. she waited outside the interview room, so hindi rin ako masyado natakot. kahit na two big brit guys pa yung nag-interview. haha. nice mr. something-something and other mr. what's-his-name. haha.

pero ngayon, entrance pa lang to the medicine building (st. martin de porres--my dad was named after him), di na pwede si mama. eh di ko alam kung saan pupunta. there was any line to follow. ah ah. but i got to the place eventually.

then they gave me a paper to fill up. syet! i had nothing with me. no pen, or pencil. i didn't even bring my wallet or phone inside. talagang yung requirements lang na school card and ust permit. haha. i had to pluck up the courage to go to some people (yes, people--di lang ako nanghiram sa isang tao!) to ask if i could borrow a pen. heehee. nyak! kahiya!

kaya kayo, pag may interbyo or kahit ano pa--basta pag lalabas kayo ng bahay--always bring a pen. hindi lang naman yun handy for interviews and sudden form-filling-up eklat.

basta, i got past the interview. they gave me another questionnaire--survey lang naman, how i found the interview. okay lang naman daw ba or what. so wala na naman akong pen. buti na lang mabait yung guy na katabi ko--malas nga lang di ko siya type. basta yun. eh di ako naman, pa-effect. kunwari mahinhin, haha.

today was sports fest. we had a torch--made of cellophane. we played basketball--half-court. we canceled badminton--because it was too windy. we had sungka--and it's now a sport. ayus ba?!

haha. tagoink! nah...it was fun, actually. i played basketball. tsk tsk. two points lang in two games! syet! so, siguro, third place lang kami out of five teams. ayus na rin. mahirap yung second game, against green team. eh panu ba naman, ang kalaban ko sina sceiy, jane and jem! eh kahit pa yata tumalon ako di ko pa rin sila matatangkaran eh! hmp! mahirap maging maliit.

oo nga, height doesn't matter. but it does help. A LOT! haha.

kawawa naman ako. heehee. it's partially my fault din naman. kasi tira lang ako ng tira. walang aim. tsk, tsk. parang sa football. haha. but i'd trade basketball for a game of football anytime. soccer dude ako. di pang basketball--although mas kelangan ng long legs sa football. haha.

the day would've been so nice. frankly, i did enjoy it. kahit akala ko nung una baduy yung sportsfest. masaya pala. and mas naging sociable ako sa ibang tao--lalo na yung mga di ko kinakausap dati. snob ako eh. haha. sabi ng iba. basta, yun na yun.

so anyway, as i was saying, na-enjoy ko yung day. kaso, just when the amazing race was about to begin and i was finally gonna see my loser sister madapa sa pavement, they cut the festivities. tapos nag-assemble kami sa gym, and they announced na we were postponing the sportsfest because of the state of emergency in the philippines. haay. tsk, tsk. wha' is happ'nin' to da neyshun?! kagulo. pinauwi kami nang ganun-ganun na lang.

it was like, everyone was having fun one minute, then the fun was all gone--literally. it was no fun. no fun at all.

ahh...another day finally done with. riding home from school na. home is just a few minutes away. i can see the beige gate that is the entrance to our subdivision. i can hear other schoolkids chatting as they walk home. i can feel the familiar cool breeze that blows. i can almost taste that good ol' home-cooked dinner. i can smell...

it's just really weird to feel both depressed and really high because of one episode.


syet. the last time i've been so attached to a TV series was with ONE TREE HILL. i don't watch it much anymore...i'm havin' a rockin' time watching LOST anyway, so i don't miss OTH much...haha.

i feel like an oversized 6-year-old right now. haha.

my little--well, i can't actually call her little 'cause she's BIG, like, real BIG for her age--cousin, tin-tin visited us today. haha. i meant to say she's really big for her age, chubby and all. she's got attitude, too. she'd probably end up as a bully a few years from now.

anyway...so she came for a visit. and me, being the nice older cousin, went to play with her. she kept bugging me to go with her, eh i was doing my project. i had to give in kasi she just didn't stop. so we went downstairs to play with balloons, doing thing silly thing of throwing the balloons then catching 'em. then throwing them again. and catching them. we went on like that for some minutes. then we went upstairs, but went back downstairs again immediately--for no reason. then i watched TV a bit, and she was nice enough to just sit and watch--for like thirty seconds.

then we went upstairs again, this time to bug jinx. yeah, loser's such a loser with kids. she was so annoyed because she was watching TV and tin-tin was causing a racket. then tin-tin and i played "chess". we had the pieces, but no chess board. she ORDERED me--how can a 4yearold order a 16yearold around???--to get all the black pieces, and she took the white ones. then we played by her rules, which went simply as she'd put a white piece on the floor, then i put a black piece after it. then a white piece, then a black one. we didn't get to finish because i wasn't cooperating. she started throwing the pieces everywhere, which probably pissed loser off as she was the one to clean up afterwards. haha.

then tin-tin went to mom's room, where mama was chatting with papa on the YM. tin got the headset and sang to papa some "bow, bow, belinda" song. i left her with ma, until they finally went home. haha. *sigh*. whatta relief!

then i saw martin playing with his B-DAMAN toy in the living room. his robot seemed to have been upgraded. haha. so i told him, "JM, papa wants to talk to you sa YM." he went upstairs, and i was left with his B-DAMAN. i was so totally namangha sa toy nya. it's like, it had a place for ammunitions na. haha. huh? basta, ganun. so, while he wasn't around, pinaglaruan ko. heehee. i lost one of the marbles. hope he doesn't notice it's missing. haha. tagoink!

my mom was telling me she gave the good day talk to the students at mary help of christians school, my old school. martin studies there. everyday, there's a speaker who gives the good day talk, kinda like a thought for the day for the students.

mama was telling the story of her life back when she was a kid. she worked in the fileds blah blah blah...earned 25¢...in short, she didn't really have much.

and then some friends--parents of martin's classmates--phoned her up. apparently, martin's classmates wouldn't believe my mom's life story. they were like, "eh mommy, hindi naman yata totoo yung story ni tita janet eh. kasi si jm, maraming toys and maraming games para sa gameboy niya..." it went on and on. haha. so funny.

paano naman kasi, my old school knows us naman eh. duh. they've got a point anyway. we're not rich (nangangarap lang...), but it's still hard to believe mama's story when those students listening to her know that her daughters go to an exclusive school for girls and her only son gets, like, all the video games he wants. and with mom herself going back and forth from the US these past years (mostly to see her friends), it's easy to imagine they don't believe all of her story. haha.

i told mom about that, and she was trying to defend her story. heehee. debate-debate! haay...hehehe. nakakabangag ngayon, for some reasons...

anyway...it's a friday--debate and entrepreneurship. letsch talaga yun. it's cards out today, and all the students from gradeschool to the sophomores went home at lunchtime. the juniors and we seniors had to stay until 04.30pm because of electives. damn! whatta waste o' time! haha. not really. i like entrepreneurship, kasi wala naman kaming ginagawa other than play the cashflow boardgame. plus, open-notes naman ang exam dun, so...oh yah! i'm cool with debate also, because i'm done with my defense. heehee.

speaking of defense, gots some more defense things i still gotta have. physics, english, and health. stupid health!

haay, ayoko na nga mag-comment. i've been gettin' into a lotta trouble lately kasi sinasagot ko yung teachers. i easily lose my temper, then boom! away na 'toh! haha. lalo na kay miss connie. buti na lang di siya nagsumbong kay mama a while ago, nung card giving. haha, nicey miss connie. heehee.

about the card giving...i saw my grades na. haha. almost the same as last quarter's. at least nadagdagan ng point somethin'-somethin'. haha. sabi ni mama, miss connie wants me daw to strive for honor--3rd or 2nd! nyak! akala ko tapos na yung talks na yun after miss arcie?! ngayon pati si miss connie?! haay...eh sa ayaw ko eh. oh well...bahala na. i'm not really into grades anyway.

i just realized na ngayon ko lang binasa yung ateneo letter ko. haha. weird. i received it last week or two weeks ago pa yata. that time, i was pretty frustrated with that thing. alam ko naman kasi na hindi ako papasok dun, why bother seeing what's inside. i let my mom open the letter na nga eh. kahapon ko lang actually binasa yung acceptance letter, kasi dumating na rin yung la salle and UST letters eh. ayun...ayus lang. kabado lang sa interview...whatever. basta answer lang nang answer sa questions sa interview. bahala na.

we spent most of the day watching horror flicks. first was "the exorcism of emily rose." it wasn't as scary as i thought it was. it's more like, i suspected it would be scary, kaya i didn't want to watch it before. it's the anticipation that scared me, not the film itself. haha. gets? i was more naawa with emily, being possessed by the demons. must've been really painful...i don't even wanna think about it.

anyway, after that, we had lunch. it took us some time before settling in to watch another film. we just had our photoshoot sa AVR na lang. haha. silly faces and everythang. yeah, everythang. daming kalokohan! kagulo! haha. ang saya! then, back to films. "half light" sana, kaso we lost interest after a few minutes. i went back to the classroom to eat. i got pissed off na naman when i saw some mates bringing food to the AVR. sabing bawal nga eh, pasaway pa. i mean, the eating in the classroom i can tolerate--we're the ones who are affected by the consequences naman eh (namely, ants and great disgust with whatever's on the floor). but to eat in the AVR, when it's used by other people? tsk tsk. classroom is private naman kasi, so to speak. kami lang gumagamit nun. peo the AVR is for everyone's use eh. a bit o' respect din naman sana to others who use it...

after relaxing a bit, i went back to the AVR. they weren't eating anymore, just watching "gothika." another film i hadn't watched before. kuya joe was scared of the film kasi, paano pa kaya ako? good thing we were many in the room. lessens the fear and anxiety. haha. although i did feel shivers running down my spine as i watched some scenes. it was like, you feel this surge of electricity throughout your body--shock, i guess. sobra. eh katabi ko pa si miss kay! ah ah! ang ingay! sigaw bigla, eh di ako matatakot! syet. buti na lang, sa sobrang takot and shock, di ko na rin nakayanan sumigaw. i just shut up. haha. saves me the humiliation. heehee.

right now, i'm glad i've been able to shake the horrible images off my mind. di naman ako natatakot. there's just one thing bothering me now...i'm kinda like an insomniac, so i don't have the "normal" sleeping pattern most people do. sometimes, early in the morning, gising pa ako...early in the morning, like 03.00AM...

haay, letsch! ayoko na! i'm getting even more frustrated by the minute, because i can't seem to get my words out. i've read the composition, and i have quite a lot to say about the subject, but i just can't find the right words to fit in my analysis. syet. it took me more than a few precious seconds to remember the tagalog word for "at present" (kasalukuyan); i had to ask my younger brother martin what "definition" is in tagalog (kahulugan); i went to ask my mom what the tagalog word is for "proclaim" (ipinahahayag). i'm not even so sure of these words.

damn. i'm so slow when it comes to writing essays in filipino. if i'd been tasked to write an english essay, things would've been different. advertise ko na rin, since i'm talking about my essays anyway...some of the things i wrote for school can be found here. i got bored one time so i gathered all my essays and put them on my past journal. nobody reads them anyway, so i'm not in much risk of public humiliation. haha. but yeah, i put 'em there coz i don't use that journal anymore.

anyway...i gotta get back to work.

it's so frustrating that i'm now unable to blog daily. i mean, i don't have enough time because there's like to pigs in the family who keep hogging the computer, namely loser and booger. darn you two! i'm THE first! i get what I WANT! so buzz off when i wanna use the PC! hahahahahahahaha!

anyway, yesterday was family day at school. no fun. at all. total b-o-r-e-d-o-m. of course, i'm just saying this from how i spent family day, which wasn't much. i was out at santa rosa estates 2 most of the afternoon. we attended holy mass at school, then went to paseo to eat lunch. yum, yum, poquito mas! woo, chalap chalap! i didn't eat much, though. i was content with the nachos. had one taquitos. then a small helping on paella something-something. then went to estates 2, waiting for iyaboo's first birthday party. i only went back to school for the field demo, which was quite uneventful for me, as i messed up some of the dance steps. haha.

basta, i basically spent the day reading dan brown's "the da vinci code". i know, sobrang late na ako noh? i should've read it before-before pa, kaso some person *ahem*papa*ahem* got the book and took it to vietnam. yung "angels and demons" din, though i'm not in so much of a hurry to read it, as it's also one of the book for the english paper (i picked "veronika" over "angels" and "geisha"). so i'm focusing on the paulo coelho book right now.

i'm so proud of finishing "the da vinci code" though. i bought it kasi at ATC last Saturday, started reading it when i got home at around 5pm. and i finished it yesterday a little before 5pm! so, it like, took me just 24 hours to finish the book! yeah! i kinda lost interest in reading kasi, a while back, when those love stories emerged and my mates started reading those instead. i am SO not into those love stories. uh uh. no way. *eeeuurrghh*. so i couldn't find anybody else in class whose books i could borrow. lahat sila hawak love stories. i tried reading one of those pocket books--those teen love stories--Y-U-C-K! i didn't get past the first chapter, which was probably a short 15 or 16 pages only. since then, i didn't even want to flip open the cover to see the title page of the book.

and the good news about losing my voice? today's my oral defense in speech and debate class! woo hoo! this calls for a celebration! yeah!

haha. really, i just can't believe how unlucky i am. i get sick at the wrong place and the wrong time. to think the defense was my exam already! letschTM.

not to forget my classmates constant laughing. "nagbibinata" na naman daw ako. my voice was really low. much like my cousin john's voice. yun talagang natural na paos yata eh. haha. peace, insan. pero, ah ah. classmates, be nice. haha. no, don't be. i like it better that way. whatever.

see, my sore throat has a schedule. it happens every start of the school (think june/july), around the holidays (november/december), and start of the new year (january/february). really, it does! heehee. i start off having a little fever...then colds...then cough...then *drum roll*, the-moment-i've-not-been-waiting-for-but-i-know-will-happen-anyway, sore throat. and poof! i lose my voice.

I AM SICk. er, kind of. actually, in school i was feeling really sick. when i got home i immediately took biogesic, so now i don't feel so bad. i better be feeling okay, since i have an oral defense tomorrow. damn, man. syet.

i think what "cured" me, though, was LOST--yeah, LAWST. haha. kaartehan na naman. kaya nagagago sa ishpelling eh. haha. they showed more of sawyer today. haay, sawyer with his soft hair that gets blown by the wind. haay...*daytrippin'* haha. wet look pa siya because he swam with kate near a mini-waterfalls. (what the hell do you call those stuff?). tapos, jack and his usual hottie self. haay. then there was a scene with the two of 'em together. syet! two hott guys in one hott scene. they are so gay. and i'm so gay...perfect match! haha. ulol.

patawa kanina, during art class. we were at the school lobby. papa peng was making us do "child labor." we were doing some stained glass art dun sa doors, for art week. sheesh. there were little monsters all around us. those little monsters also go by the name "kinder and prep students." another name for them are "brattinella kulasas." or "spoiled rich brats." haha. sorry, those kids just pissed me off. i'm usually alright with kids. but those were just way, way too pissin' off. haha.

then there was this bunch of kiddies who passed by. prep kids, going home. they passed by the lobby, and watched us a bit. one of them said (in this loud, pissing-off tone): "what are they doing? my gawd!"

minsan, i'd go home from school and find her in front of the computer doing--what else?!--downloading songs and burning them to CDs. geez!

it was inchican day yesterday, wednesday. and you know what that means? grade 5 hell day! haha. just kidding. i have the coolest bunch of kids. the best among all the students of brgy. inchican elementary school. haha.

kaso, the really sad, sad thing is i don't plan their lessons. kaya i end up going there with not a single freaking thing to teach them. haha. i'm so wasting their time. aww...kawawa naman sila.

wednesdays are like that. laging walang ginagawa. no changes or whatever.

but yesterday was different. oh yeah, it was. haha.

kristina and i are partners (haha, partners in crime? nyak!), so we split the class up. some wanted to play outside kasi--mostly the boys. and the others wanted to stay in the classroom to study--mostly the girls. heehee. i went with the kids outside, "nagbabantay." haha. much good it did them. the boys were playing some rough, running-around game called "bente uno." in ten minutes' time, a boy had already fallen on the rocky ground and scraped his knee. wawa naman the bata. his knee was bleeding.

lagot ka, fides. so much for being a teacher and "bantay." haha. baaad.

i told him to go back to the classroom while i rounded up the rest of the kids.

i'm just so bad at handling kids sometimes...it took me a few minutes to realize the boy needed some help. heehee. i didn't even know how to approach him. by the time, his wound was bleeding na talaga. poor kid. aww, wawa naman. i told him i'd accompany him to their clinic. we went kaso walang tao. so we walked to a nearby faucet thing to clean na lang his wound. eh siyempre ako, nurse-in-the-making, wala man dalang band-aid. syet. the least i could do was soak my handkerchief and use it as bandage to his knee. i told him to keep the hanky na. nahiya na ako. i didn't even know his name--and he's been my student for like, almost eight or nine months! haha. baaad.

it was lee's birthday yesterday! happy birthday, lee! aww, she's SEVENTEEN!!! we went to the studio after school to celebrate. pero before that, school stuff muna...

graduation pictorial yesterday, which was quite, er, pissing off but alright at the same time. i kinda got pissed off because my mates and i had been waiting since morning to have our pictures taken. as in, like, 8 or 9 am. but the sixth-graders went first, and they were like, 20-something or 30-something in class. and we were just 18! we were s'pposed to be the priority. hmm, my "violet beauregarde syndrome" again. aheehee. but it was great that we didn't have classes. even miss connie, who's like i-don't-care-if-you're-having-pictorials-we're-still-gonna-have-classes, finally gave up when she saw that we had no intention of listening to her. pakanta-kanta pa ng "hhhhhhaaaaaappppppppyyyyyyy bbbbbiiiiiirrrttthhhhhddddaaaaayyyyyyy ttttttooooooo yyyyyyyoooooouuuu" (yeah, THAT long!) just to waste as much of our filipino time as posiible. haha. baaad girls. haha.

too bad there wasn't any escape when it came to entrepreneurship and debate classes. entrepreneurship wasn't that bad, since all we did was play (yeah, play!) the cashflow boardgame. while playing, we landed on the spot that had "baby" on it. so now, my group has a baby. haha. you'll understand what i mean if you're familiar with the game...kit ("kevin") and i named the "baby" eduard. like the schizophrenic in paulo coelho's "veronika decides to die." kit and i are using the book for our research paper kasi eh.

debate was absolute boredom. honestly, i didn't understand kit's speech kasi about taxing the church eh, so my questions were so walang kwenta. don't worry, kit, it's not your speech that's stupid. i'm stupid. haha. matagal na, i know.

i liked the pictorial, by the way. not the make-up or hair. sabi ng friends ko ayos lang naman daw, and mom said maganda naman daw pala. but i believe otherwise. anyway, kelan ba ako naging "maganda"? haha. no chance. huhuhu. but having my picture taken--heehee, feeling model. astig.

i went to the studio with kate and gisele. duh, we rode on the same service! haha. we arrived before the others did, but my other mates arrived minutes after we did. kaso, meron pa ako konting make-up pa ako nun, kasi di ko na tinanggal sa school (wala naman yata sa 'min nagtanggal ng make-up eh). letschTM! guro ariel and the rest of the studio peeps were there! kahiya! haha. tuksuhan na 'toh! haha. tsk tsk. at least mas bakla talaga ako kay guro! haha. i win! i win! i win!

funny, just moments after we arrived, inayos na yung food and drinks. free pizza!!! haay, heaven. kagulo lahat when the first pizza came. ang ingay ng mga tao. haha. trademark ng kulasa. puro patay-gutom pa! i had, like, one slice of pizza from every platter that was laid on the table. we actually just "rested" when miss det and sir shaun came. hintayin daw sila makakain ng kahit isang slice man lang before kami kag-start na lumamon ulit. haha. eh kaso, sabi ng mom ni lee, "kuha na kayo. meron pa naman isa," eh di agawan na naman. ah ah. humbeliners talaga, walang patawad!

when miss det and sir shaun joined us, "mag-klase" daw kami. kay miss det, puro demand and supply daw ng pizza. kay sir shaun, yung lines and colors ng platter. tapos, cle daw kasi both of 'em are cle teachers. eh di meron akong, "god said, 'feed the hungry'" sabay kuha ng pizza. haha. meron pang isang humirit nung "blessed are those who hunger and thirst." grabeh, mga may amats na. pizza pa lang. haha. ulol.

while we made lamon the food, nag-set up ng yung nexphase sa harap ng smart kids. they took out all the instruments. we waited until it got darker beforewe started "par-taying." nexphase played for us. they did covers of some songs, then they also did original compositions. there's one song of theirs which i really liked. i heard them play it before kasi, when i went for a lesson with guro. not sure about the title, but i think it's "so complete." basta that one. i found it funny na kami lang ang audience nila. parang private show talaga.



'stig talaga. but then they had to take a break--bad idea. napasubo tuloy kami sa pagtugtog. letschTM! embarrassment to the maxx! tita betsy (lee's mom) kasi told me to play, nakakahiya naman na tumanggi. hinila pa ako ni guro dun. huhu. si ailo din eh, hinila lang. madz and angge were vocals. and, of course, birthday girl played guitars. we were missing our keyboardist, si aidlem jr. (haha, aya), so si aidlem na lang nag-play for us. we played "play that funky music", kaso kalat. haha. i hadn't held a bass since we played during the rock and groove concert, so nanibago ako. what was even more difficult was the fact that i was using ariel's bass guitar, eh it was the big bass! mine was a short-necked one, kasi mas naaabot ko yung frets and strings nun. pero and tindi nung kay ariel. letschTM! tapos di na rin memorize nina madz and angge yung first part nung song. heehee. i was shaking talaga. kahiya yun. lalo na since guro was watching, eh ang lupit nun mag-bass. tsk tsk. at least one song lang. ayus naman daw yung tugtog sabi ni pamboy eh. (should i take that guy's word for it? haha. peace!).

then, back with nexphase. great performance talaga. i swear those guys are gonna hit it big. hihintayin ko yun.

when they finished, rest na sila. tuksuhan na naman! pasimuno si guro! darn. tsk tsk. niaaway ako ng guro ko! huhuhu. bakla! haha. mas bakla ako, inggit ka lang! peace!

my mates and i also had fun nga pala taking pictures. kabaklaan ko umiral. haha. ask my mates na lang, kinahihiya ko yung sarili ko kahapon. haha. we also played with the ice. kasi kumuha sila ng ice from the soda boxes, tapos nagsilagayan sa likod ng isa't isa. dinamay pa ako! di naman ako kasali. haha. huhuhu. poor me. kaya takbo-takbo din ako. heehee.

then, time to go home. ihahatid pa kasi namin si jessica, who had to be home by 0930pm. ayus lang naman, no biggie. di naman sira night ko, since i did have loads of fun. jessica (a pioneer) was with kuya joe and jinx kasi. they met with some of the other pioneers, who were studying at different colleges. i think every weekends those girls meet eh. so yun. eh si kuya joe daw magsusundo sa 'kin. so uwian na. i met some of the pioneers sa cafe breton before kami umuwi--sina nike (family!), celine, and zyrah (titscher!). haha.
