I watched the Mr. and Ms. Nursing Talent Night last Thursday, which I never did during the past two years. What changed? Of course, I was there to support HIM. Yeah, I had reason to go. Whodathunkit?
I even dragged my classmates to the event. I asked nicely if my classmates could come with me to watch, kasi wala ako kasama. So yeah, we were probably the only group of people there na walang representative sa Mr. and Ms., but we went anway. Haha. To support HIM and AP (yihee, Ate Kae!). They're the best classmates ever! As in they waited pa until HIS performance, which happened to be near the end of the evening pa! So there, we waited for a long time just to watch him. But, sabi nga nila, "It was worth the wait" naman daw. (My classmates' words, not mine. Haha!).
Some of the notable and memorable performances of the evening included the Korean Fan Dance by Shim, the duet by CC and, er...that beautiful Year 4 student. There was the piano performance by Mr. Number 2. And of course, HIM and his partner (another contestant), Shy.
They based their performance of "Bleeding Love" on Mark and Chelsie on So You Think You Can Dance. (I was gonna post a link to Mark and Chelsie's performance, but never mind--just search for it on YouTube. Haha!). They were great. The audience loved it. The judges loved it. I loved it. (Yes, I loved it--I didn't say HIM. Hmm. Nothing to read between the lines, ayt? Haha.).
Comments from the judges--
Ma'am Turingan: "...Kung merong perfect example ng word na confidence, kayong dalawa 'yon...'Yung facial expression niya talaga, dalang-dala kami dito."
Sir Hibek: "[HIS name here] outshined the performance of the girl...Throughout that performance, It was [HIM] who carried the show."
So yeah, you can see how they all loved it. I posted the video here, but medyo magulo and maingay. Blame it on my classmates, who kept shaking me and shouting in my ear. Haha. XP
Hey, hey! Vote, vote, vote! If Americans have Obama as President, we can help make HIM the new Mr. Nusing 2008. Haha. Oh God, too much promotionals on my Multiply already, I can be his publicist. Haha. Well, I'm the number one fangirl. Syempre, I get more than just a pre-signed autographed photo from him. ;)
So the next evening (Friday night), I was watching him from the sidelines again. Yeah, yan naman trabaho ko eh--camera girl, towel girl, water girl, taga-bantay ng gamit niya, cheerleader. I'm like, the yaya. Well, personal assistant.
Anyway, he had a basketball game. So part na naman ako ng audience. Took him a while to get his game on, but he managed to get a feel of it by the second quarter. He had a memorable three-point shot, sayang lang wala akong vid. Haha. Well, most of the time naman kasi he was either rolling on the floor or falling flat on his bum. Haha. But marami siya nagawa nung fourth quarter na.
The sad thing was, he had a bad fall kaya masakit yung wrist niya. Kaya tuloy he missed even the free throws. But after the game, we hung out together and he said, "Alam mo ba kung bakit hindi ako maka-score nung free throws?"
I replied, "Malamang dahil masakit wrist mo. Duh."
He shook his head. "Eh, hindi. Meron pang ibang dahilan."
I shrugged. How was I supposed to know? Do I look like a psycho--I mean, psychic?
So when I didn't answer, he continued. "Kasi naalala ko High School Musical. Hinihintay ko na tatahimik lahat tapos tatayo ka and kakanta nung 'Trooooooy!'"
HAHA. Grabe, laughtrip. Sobra. It's so gay, I know. But still, if you have no idea what he meant, watch High School Musical 3's "Now or Never" video, where Troy has to make a free throw and Gabriella stands up while eveyone is covered with the Wildcats cards and she sings 'Troooooy!' Haha. Super funny.
Don't count on me standing up and singing that, sweetie. Haha. :P
