I bumped my head really hard on the top bunk sa dorm room ko last Monday night. Ouch! Haha. *cough*idiot!*cough*
Anyway, so I didn't really feel anything that night. But I woke up at around one in the morning and I felt my head spin. Then I went back to sleep. I woke up at 4am and felt dizzy and everything was going round and round. Damn. I felt like I was gonna be sick.
Then all day that Tuesday, I felt headaches. Sometimes it was bearable, most of the time it wasn't. When school was done, I went back to the dorm and texted my mom, asking if she knew any headache meds. I told her I was having really bad headaches and that I got sick.
Wednesday was okay. No more headaches! Thank god.
Thursday morning, my mom called me up to check how I was. I joked and told her the headache was probably because I hit my head hard on the bunk bed. She panicked and called my dad and then my dad called me up. Then my mom called again and said we were going for a check up at the hospital.
That day as well, we went to the UST Hospital for a check up and the doctor said I should have a CT Scan, just to see if I had a hematoma. Ay grabe, super OA naman. A CT for a simple bump on the head?! And the doc wasn't the only one worried. Everyone else at home went into panic mode! My aunt even sent me 3 get-well-soon roses and a blouse. Oh mehn. Haha. Anyhow, I went for a Creatinine thingy (they took out blood) at the Lab and scheduled my CT Scan for the next day, after school.
Friday came. I was anxious and excited and feeling stupid. Haha. I went to the hospital at 4pm, but Mom wasn't there yet. Kawawa naman ako, mag-isa dun sa CT Scan room. So sad. And lonely. And the stupid part of it all was, I had on my Nursing uniform. Grabe, yung nurse ang kinailangan magpa-CT. Haha. Idiot.
The doctor already started interviewing me when my mom came. Then he led us to the CT scan. He had to put an IV on me kasi doon papadaanin yung contrast which was needed for the CT. Syet. I've never had an IV before. Waah! Haha. Pero excited din ako. But the doc was having a problem kasi I had small veins on my hands, di nya alam kung saan pwede ilagay yung needle. After one attempt at my left hand by another doctor, my doctor tried. He knew mali yung pagkalagay nung needle kasi the contrast was still in the tube at hindi nagflow out sa vein ko. So, he took out the needle and the tube on my left hand and checked my right hand for a good vein. Damn. Insertion nung needle was painful the first two times--a third pa? Shit. Well, I just went along. Thank goodness he got it right! Haha.
After waiting for some minutes, it was my turn. Yay! Haha. It felt weird inside the CT thingy. Like a space ship. Haha. Then they injected iodine into my IV halfway through the scan. Super lamig, i could feel the fluid flowing through my arm. Whoa. Haha.
Then the scan was done. Haay, salamat. Time to go home.
